Beneteau First 40.7 - The ideal yacht for team building & sailing experience days
Currently the most popular vessel for quality corporate and race charter in the UK with over 600 people enjoying sailing on them in Skandia Cowes Week 2007 alone.
Over 1,000 of these remarkable yachts have been built and sold worldwide since 1997. As standard they sleep 8 although Anticipation has extended this to 10 with two lightweight pipecot berths. Great yacht to race with clean deck layout and modern rig. Lively to sail yet well mannered. Down below the all wood trim provides that reassuring measure of Beneteau class and comfort. Designed by Farr Associates. The pedigree is telling.

"Starting off the Squadron line, Class 3 IRC were led away by Peter Newlands Beneteau 40.7 Anticipation who had a fabulous afternoon of racing to bring the fleet home both on the water and on corrected time. Class 3 IRC is dominated by the 40.7s who are looking to have their own class start in 2007 and today the top four were all from the same production line. Newlands won by a convincing 3 minutes 4 seconds from Tim Spalding's Amey Love Shack with Gareth Williams completing the podium places in third aboard Beechwood Homes some 1 minute 47 seconds adrift."

Top charter boat in 2006 - again
We have just completed our best ever season of fun racing and great results. The highlights included:

    i. Taking 5 bullets from 5 races against 16 x 40.7s in the inaugural Anglo Irish Bank Regatta, client helming

ii. Another 3 bullets in 3 races in the Kuehn & Nagel Regatta (Transport) – 12 x 40.7s, client helming

iii. Placing first in the Price Waterhouse Coopers annual regatta – against a variety of yachts including X45s, X40s, Kerr 11.3 and Reflex 38s

iv. First equal on points (but placed 2nd) out of 18 x 40.7s in the PPP/PFI regatta

    v. Winning another half dozen corporate one day fun events

vi. Placing in the top three of the prestigious Manches Cup (legal) and City Challenge/Volvo Cup with inexperienced crews

vii. Winning the Island Sailing Club Tuesday evening series (not on charter)

viii. Being just 1 point from winning Skandia Cowes Week IRC3 – 40.7s. Taking two trophies

ix. Top charter 40.7 in JP Morgan Round The Island Race

    x. 2nd equal in Little Britain* event

Then we were hammered in the Nationals!

We are of course first to acknowledge that the crew are the largest part of the equation but this demonstrates that Anticipation is not slow.

The 2007 season was similarly as good, ending as 2nd in Cowes Week and national champions.
